Overview | Patient Demographics

Patient demographics cover basic, high level concepts about a patient such as their current age, gender, race etc. Some of this information may change over time but at any given time only one value or code for each category (the most recent value) will be attached to a patient. For demographic values, in most circumstances the most recent or last known value for a demographic value is available for querying in i2b2.
