Common Lab Panels

To simplify searching for labs in i2b2, we have provided groupings of LOINC-coded labs grouped by commonly ordered lab test panels. The tests available within each panel group are not designed to include every possible test ever ordered as part of a panel, but instead show the tests associated with at least 75% of all orders for the given panel. The available lab test panel groupings in i2b2 include:

1. Basic Metabolic Panel
2. Comprehensive Metabolic Panel
3. Blood Gas, Arterial
4. Blood Gas Venous
5. Coagulation Screen
6. Complete Blood Count (CBC)
7. Differential
8. Electrolyte Panel
9. Lipid Panel
10. Urinalysis

Additional lab tests may be found in the ‘Common Lab Tests’ folder or within the complete ‘LOINC Dictionary’. If a lab test panel is missing that you think is important for functionality, please contact the i2b2 team with your suggestion.
